The holidays are quickly approaching and will be here before we know it. Avoid the last minute rush to purchase holiday gifts and get your shopping done early during our Holiday Sip and Shop event. York Elementary PTO’s Sip & Shop is a family-friendly event to kick off the holiday season. We will have lots vendors showcasing a variety of goods (but not limited to) food, gifts, clothing, and more!
The Sip & Shop will be held in the cafeteria at Glenn York Elementary School from 5-8 p.m. on the same evening as math a science night.

York Elementary PTO’s Sip & Shop is a family-friendly event to kick off the holiday season. We will have 25 vendors showcasing a variety of goods (but not limited to) food, gifts, clothing, and more! There will also be a school sponsored event going on simultaneously that evening to increase crowd interest. We will be advertising our event on our PTO website, PTO Facebook page, school weekly news blast, and flyers sent home with students.
Each vendor will be provided a 8’ wide space, but each vendor will be responsible for bringing their own tables and chairs. Please make sure the table legs do not have any sharp edges that could ruin the gym or cafeteria flooring.

Fees: $25 per space (if you register by Oct. 7th you will get $5 off)
We are asking each vendor to donate an item, or a certificate of goods or services to our annual York PTO Spring Carnival silent auction and raffle.

Friday, October 27th 5:00-7:00 at Glenn York Elementary- Cafeteria Parking Lot.
The 2nd annual Glenn York Trunk or Treat is scheduled for Friday October 27th from 5:00-7:00 in the cafeteria parking lot. This year’s event will be even bigger than last year! It is open to the entire community and it’s free. Mix 96.5 will be broadcasting at the Trunk or Treat and we’ll have contests for costumes and trunks. Hangreek, Wylie ST Tacos and OffBeat Eatz food trucks as well as Pepperoni’s and Bahama Bucks will be there so you can grab a bite for dinner too! Several York families and local businesses will be hosting trunks and passing out lots of goodies for the trunk or treaters. It promises to be a Spooktacular evening- fun for the entire family!
The PTO is seeking families to donate candy and/or Halloween trinkets for this event. If you can donate, please bring the items to the front office labeled “PTO” along with your child’s name and homeroom teacher. THANK YOU!
If you own a business or if you know someone who does, and would like to host a trunk for your business, it’s a great way to get marketing exposure and to give out swag for your business- and the best part is, it’s free to host a trunk. You just need to get creative with your decorating and come ready with candy for the trunk or treaters!
